Damon

Damon is a gentle and reserved 1-year-old cat who has come a long way since being rescued from a feral life. While he’s still very shy and scared of humans, Damon has made progress and is now looking for a patient, adult-only home where he can continue to grow at his own pace. He currently resides with Drusilla, another cat who helps him feel more secure, so he would do well in a home with another calm feline companion who can provide him with the comfort and support he needs.

Personality:

Affection Level: Very shy and timid, Damon is still learning to trust humans. He may take time to warm up but will become more affectionate as he builds trust

Energy Level: Low to moderate-he enjoys his quiet space and watching the world around him from a safe distance

Likes: The company of other calm cats like Drusilla, peaceful environments, and slowly exploring his surroundings when he feels safe

Dislikes: Sudden movements, loud noises, and feeling rushed. Damon needs a calm, low-stress environment to help him feel secure

Perfect Home: Damon would thrive in an adult-only home with no children. He needs a household that understands and respects his shy nature and can provide him with the time and space to adjust at his own pace. A home with another gentle cat would be ideal, as having a feline companion like Drusilla helps him feel more comfortable.

Behavior with Kids: Damon is not comfortable around children and would do best in a home without them. He needs a calm and peaceful environment where he can feel safe and unhurried.

Behavior with Other Pets: Damon currently lives with Drusilla and seems to enjoy her company. He would do well in a home with another calm, patient cat who can help him adjust and feel more secure. Damon has not been tested with dogs, and due to his fearful nature, we would recommend against a dog-filled home.
