Meet Effie Trinket: or Effie for short. A Shy but Sweet 3-Year-Old Cat Looking for a Calm, Loving Home.

She may be a bit shy when you first meet her, but once she feels comfortable, she’s a loving companion who enjoys gentle petting and quiet moments with her humans.

Effie is not a fan of being picked up or restrained, so she will need a family that respects her boundaries and lets her approach things on her own terms. Though she may take some time to warm up, once she does, she’s sure to become a loyal and affectionate friend.

She’s a bit of a picky eater, so she’ll need someone who’s willing to accommodate her tastes and offer her the right food to keep her healthy and happy. She does enjoy the company of other cats, but she’ll need a slow introduction to any new feline companions to ensure a smooth transition.

Effie’s ideal home is a quiet, calm space where she can take her time to adjust and feel safe. She’s best suited for a home without young children, as she may be overwhelmed by their energy and fast movements.

All cats and dogs available for adoption at HSHPE have been vaccinated, micro-chipped and spay/neutered, and have been treated for internal and external parasites, when needed.
