Meet Iggy: A 1-year-old neutered male who’s still learning that the world, and people, can be kind and safe.

He’s very shy at first and will need a quiet, understanding home where he can take his time to settle in and build trust. But with patience and a gentle approach, Iggy starts to open up-and when he does, he shows just how sweet and loving he really is.

He’s cautious around new people and spaces, but once he begins to feel safe, he enjoys soft chin scratches and gentle company. He’s not going to seek out affection right away, but given time, he’ll quietly begin to show you his affectionate side.

He will slowly begin to explore and play when he feels comfortable. Quiet playtime and cozy napping spots are more his style than wild zoomies.

He likes Chin scratches (once you’ve earned his trust),

Cozy hiding spots and Calm, gentle energy.

Another mellow feline friend to help show him the ropes.

He Dislikes: Loud noises, Sudden movements, being rushed or overwhelmed.

All cats and dogs available for adoption at HSHPE have been vaccinated, micro-chipped and spay/neutered, and have been treated for internal and external parasites, when needed.
