Thumper

Meet Thumper: A Sweet Bunny Looking for a Loving Home
If you’re ready to welcome a gentle and unique rabbit into your life, Thumper might be the perfect fit for you! At 3 years old, Thumper is a striking white and silver bunny with big, expressive eyes and a soft, velvety coat. Though a bit nervous of people at first, he has a calm and curious nature, and with time, he’ll come around and become the loyal companion you’ve been waiting for.
About Thumper: Thumper is a bit shy and still learning to trust people, but once he feels safe, his personality shines through. He enjoys exploring his space and can be playful when the mood strikes. Though he may initially retreat to a corner when new people come around, with patience and gentle interaction, Thumper will warm up to you. He’s looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can slowly build a bond with his new family.
Thumper is semi-litter trained, and we’re working on getting him fully trained! Rabbits are intelligent and can learn to use a litter box with consistency, so with time and patience, Thumper will likely master this skill.
Rabbit Care: Rabbits are wonderful, but they are complex creatures that require specific care to thrive. Thumper, like all rabbits, needs daily attention, space, and a diet that supports his health. Here are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to rabbit care:
Diet: Thumper needs a high-fiber diet primarily consisting of fresh hay, which is essential for his digestive health. Hay should be available to him at all times. Fresh vegetables (like leafy greens, parsley, and carrots) are also a big part of his diet, but be sure to avoid sugary fruits too often. Fresh water is a must, and pellet food can be offered in moderation.
Exercise & Space: Rabbits are naturally active and need plenty of space to hop around, stretch, and explore. Thumper will need a large play area or a bunny-safe room to roam freely. Exercise pens (X-pens) are a great way to give him a safe, designated space. It’s important to provide enrichment like tunnels, chew toys, and safe furniture to keep him entertained and happy.
Litter Training: While Thumper is still perfecting his litter box habits, rabbits are naturally inclined to use a litter box if given the right setup. Be patient with him as he continues to improve, and remember that rabbits thrive on routine. It’s also important to use rabbit-safe litter-avoid clumping cat litter or anything that could be harmful if ingested.
Grooming: Thumper has a beautiful coat, and while he doesn’t require constant grooming, regular brushing will help keep his fur soft and prevent mats. Rabbits also need their nails trimmed regularly, and dental care is essential. Chew toys are great for helping with tooth health, as rabbits’ teeth continuously grow throughout their lives.
Health Check-ups: Regular vet visits are key to keeping Thumper in top health. Rabbits are prey animals, so they often hide illness, but with proactive care and observation, you can help keep him healthy and happy.
What Thumper Needs: Thumper is looking for a patient and caring family who understands rabbit needs and is ready to offer him a safe, quiet environment where he can take his time to adjust. His ideal home is one that is calm and gentle, where he can slowly develop trust and learn to interact with his new humans at his own pace.
If you’re ready to invest the time and love it takes to help Thumper grow into a confident, happy bunny, then you could be his perfect match! Thumper may be shy at first, but once he bonds with you, he’ll bring endless joy and companionship into your life.
